Z2K board appoints new Chief Executive

Raji Hunjan has been appointed by Z2K’s board of trustees as the Trust’s new Chief Executive. Raji brings with her extensive experience of combining services with policy and campaigning to bring about greater changes in systems to improve the lives of communities. She is looking forward to bringing this expertise to bear at a time when the need for Z2K’s services is greater than ever before. She comes to Z2K from Inquest, where she served as Operations Director. Prior to this she was the Director of North Kensington Law Centre.

Raji said:

Z2K is unique in its approach to combining welfare benefits case work with campaigning across London and has been highly effective in influencing change. I am very much looking forward to continuing the brilliant work of Joanna Kennedy and Z2Ks founder, Reverend Paul Nicolson.”

Raji is taking the place of Joanna Kennedy who is retiring after serving as a fantastically dedicated and diligent Chief Executive for nine years. Under Joanna’s stewardship Z2K has grown from a small advice agency to one that supports over 1,500 families a year with an annual financial benefit of nearly £2 million.

Joanna said:

It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to the Z2K family. I have learned so much over the past nine years. I‘ve been honoured to lead such a dedicated team, singularly focused on transforming the lives of some of London’s most vulnerable.”

“I am delighted to be leaving Z2K in the capable hands of Raji, who I know will do an excellent job of ensuring Z2K continues it’s vital work

While Joanna will be sorely missed the Z2K team are looking forward to the continued growth and strengthening of Z2K under Raji’s leadership as we strive to support ever more low income Londoners.

  1. congratulations to Joanna on your retirement!

I hope this reaches you – I hope you know that my computer and back up crashed leaving me without addresses to keep in touch with all my contacts! But an investigation of bits of my charitable giving provided me with this

    With love and best wishes
