Tribute to Nick Goldberg

nick gEveryone at Z2K has been shocked and saddened by news of the tragic death of our wonderful colleague Nick Goldberg while on holiday overseas. Nick has been a member of Z2K’s team for the past eighteen monts, and has helped dozens of our most vulnerable clients in that time. He has been a determined and persuasive advocate for each and every one of them, winning appeals that no-one else thought possible and always going the extra mile to help clients find a way out of their troubles.

Nick understood that it wasn’t enough just to help the individuals who walk through Z2K’s doors. He would always want to be part of the campaigns against the policies that drive them into poverty and despair, and he had great ideas for how we could do more in future to make the world a better place. Most of all though, he was so much fun to be around in the office – full of energy, intelligence, enthusiasm and an apparently endless supply of comical stories. Our hearts go out to Romin and Nick’s family and friends. It is impossible to make sense of a life cut short so young, but we will forever be inspired by his memory.

  1. I had the good fortune of meeting Mr Goldberg, he was an exceptional person. He had the gift of giving hope to people where there seemed none. People like him are rare. He will always be remembered for the great work he did and Romin continues to do.

  2. So it is true that Good people don’t stay longer
(John 11.26) I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies.
Whether we die young or old. People of God this place is not our home we are just passing through, heaven is our home we long to be there.
Nick! may your soul rest in perfect peace.

  3. This is just to offer my deepest condolences for the passing of Mr Nick Goldberg who was mentoring me whilst on placement at the Victoria office in Z2K. The short time i spent with him had an amazing impact on me as I watched him interact with people and helped fight their corner. I read today in disbelief about his death and thought it could not be him until i saw his picture to confirm it was actually him. I hope his family and all his loved ones will have the strength to cope in this very difficult time. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

  4. I wanted to send our love and strength to Nicks family, friends and colleagues. I know Nick was a fantastic advocate to so many people here at Body & Soul. He had an energy and brightness that will always be remembered. With love all at Body & Soul xx
