Alongside 4in10 and the Child Poverty Action Group we are organizing a conference to discuss the barriers to parental employment in London and share best practice from a range of statutory and voluntary sector providers on helping parents back to work.
This free conference will give practitioners and policy makers the opportunity to come together to discuss both the challenges and opportunities that the welfare reform agenda poses for London.
In addition to the afternoon plenary session, there will be a number of interactive workshops where delegates can explore different aspects of welfare reform and the types of challenges these might present for practitioners and policy makers working with low income families.
Confirmed speakers include Stephen Timms MP, Shadow Minister for Employment and Bharat Mehta OBE, Chief Executive of Trust for London.
